Dr. Lawrence Wilde ist Pädagoge, Musiktheoretiker, Singer-songwriter und Komponist von Chor-, Kammer-, Orchester- und elektronischer Musik. Seine Werke, die von der New York Times als "leidenschaftlich und dramatisch konturiert" beschrieben wurden, sind von weltweit führenden Ensembles in Auftrag gegeben und aufgeführt worden, darunter das Kronos Quartet, Eighth Blackbird, JACK Quartet, So Percussion, Tesla Quartet, Moscow String Quartet, Ensemble Mise-En, ÆON Ensemble, Variant 6 und andere. Wilde erhielt Forschungs- und Lehrstipendien u. a. an der Princeton University und der Juilliard School sowie Kompositionsstipendien u. a. beim Tanglewood Music Festival, dem Aspen Music Festival und dem Bang On A Can Music Festival. Seine Kompositionen und Multimedia-Installationen wurden international auf Musikfestivals und an Veranstaltungsorten wie der Carnegie Hall, dem Lincoln Center Out of Doors, dem Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music, dem Centro Nacional de Difusion Musical und anderen aufgeführt. Wilde hat einen Bachelor of Music (B.M.) in Komposition von der Juilliard School, einen Master of Fine Art (M.F.A.) und einen Ph.D. in Komposition von der Princeton University.

Dr. Lawrence Wilde is an educator, music theorist, singer-songwriter, and composer of choral, chamber, orchestral, and electronic music. Described as “passionate and dramatically contoured” by The New York Times, Wilde’s works have been commissioned and performed by world-leading ensembles, including the Kronos Quartet, Eighth Blackbird, JACK Quartet, So Percussion, Tesla Quartet, Moscow String Quartet, Ensemble Mise-En, ÆON Ensemble, Variant 6, among others. Wilde has held research and teaching fellowships at Princeton University, The Juilliard School, among others, and composition fellowships at the Tanglewood Music Festival, the Aspen Music Festival, the Bang On A Can Music Festival and others. His compositions and multimedia installations have been presented internationally at music festivals and venues including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center Out of Doors, Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music, Centro Nacional de Difusion Musical, among others.
