Studies of music education, musicology and educational science at Justus Liebig University Giessen (B.A.), Studies of cultural studies at the University Koblenz-Landau (M.A.). Since 2021 research assistant at the Chair of Popular Music and Gender Studies, since 2020 lecturer in the project "Gesichter zeigen - Vielfalt stärken!" of HfMT Cologne and project activities at popRlp. Previously, activities in youth and adult education in the areas of voluntary service and museum education, as well as other lectureships at University of Koblenz-Landau.
PHD Project: Doing Gender while making music together (since 2020)
In my dissertation, I examine gender relations in music making based on the Doing Gender approach. My focus is on instrumentalists, since underrepresentation can be observed here in particular. My empirical material includes narrative interviews with active and former musicians as well as participant observation and group discussions.
